Pokemon Sword

Zelda Skyway Sword
Zelda Ocarina of time
Zelda Majoras Mask
Fire Emblem Awakning
Fire Emblem Special Edition
Fire Emblem Echoes Shadows of Valentia
Ever Oasis
Stella Glow
Pokemon XD gale of Darkness og pokemon colosseum

I know I can buy a Switch or a 3DS but I can't afford to buy both consoles.
Need a console to take on trips?

I looked around a little and saw someone playing a bunch of switch titles on the RP4 pro, but none you mentioned. also, the RP4 has a touchscreen, and I’m not sure the rg556 does (didn’t see “touchscreen” in screen specs). You’ll need that for DS games.

I know it’s not on your list, I mention just bc switch emulation, but Tears of the Kingdom ran badly on my Steamdeck. That game is REALLY intense for a switch title, so I’m sure the others on your list would be better, but I only mention bc switch emulation can be really demanding. so definitely do some more looking into switch emulation on these before making a choice.

Good luck! They’re both really cute handhelds too, clear plastic shell available for both.

The Nintendo Switch is the better choice or you wait until the Nintendo Switch 2 comes out, it's not that long now.
I know but I want to play 3DS games as well.

The retroid is a great little box but it falls short when it comes to clean and easy Switch/PS2 emulation. For anything below that, it's great, good quality. I have one and love it. It does Dreamcast great and GameCube as well. Anything beyond that, I can't recommend it. You'll have to pony up more $ or wait for better hardware to come out.

Part of the problem with PS2 emulation is due to a lack of an actively developed PS2 emulator for Android. PCSX2 has undergone a lot of development these last couple years but AetherSX2 (which I believe was porting it over) has been abandoned for a couple years. There's no other PS2 emulators for Android that are even close to being mature, so we're stuck with AetherSX2, warts and all.

I was unsure about buying it because I would like to play Switch games and 3DS games, since it seems that the anbernic rg55 couldn't take 3DS and Switch games very well, so I was unsure about buying it because of that. But then it ended up that I got to buy it for 1000 kr even though the buyer was supposed to have 2000 kr for it. So it turns out that if I buy it, I can afford a nintendo switch lite that is jailbroken with picofly as well. So then I'm going to buy 2 consoles today. So then I'll be playing 3DS games and other games on the anbernic rg55 and Switch games on the nintendo switch lite itself.

I arrived late, but according to the specs you posted of your PC on another thread (13th gen i5 and RTX 2050) you should do good with Switch and 3DS emulation. And your hardware specs are surely better than any cheap mobile device.

The games you want to play I don't think they will be too demanding. I played and beated Super Mario Odyssey on Yuzu with my puny Ryzen 3200g with only the integrated gpu.

It ended up that I will sell my Anbernic rg556 since I didn't understand it and will buy myself a 3DS for the money I sold it for.
Since I have a hard time playing 3DS games on my PC.

Playing 3DS or Switch with the original consoles could be less of a hassle than emulating, cause of bugs in emulation, the quirks of the consoles, shader compilation stuttering, the emulators not being mature enough or in limbo, etc.

But emulating could be an option, for upscaling, graphic options, savestates, other conveniences, "free games" etc. Or if for some reason couldn't obtain the consoles.

Azahar is mature enough to run most of the 3DS library well. 3DSes are no longer manufactured and prices will hike. Long term maintenance will be a problem, too.

Yes I agree with you.

But is good to have in mind that
Azahar, other forks, and Citra, are good enough, but certainly not free of bugs and the development isn't complete. Performance could vary. They're not without some problems.

On the other hand original hardware have it's own problems too. Availability, price, weardown or broking, etc.
But is still good when one have problems with the emulators or simply want the original experience.

Each one have their pros and cons.

A Switch Lite + N3DS is less than 200€ second hand. You're not getting any portable device which can emulate Switch for that price, forget about it. The nearest thing you could get was the AyaNeo Lite, which is ones of the best Linux handhelds on the market, and that could emulate both because it has a Ryzen CPU, but costed 300€. It's sold out new everywhere for obvious reasons, but if you're very lucky to grab one second hand maybe it would cost around 250€. Otherwise, there are no options unless you want to go desktop.
