an rpg to break my game block

Since I don't know what games you have played, I'm going to pick a game at random from Xbox list....

metaphor re:fantizio

and if you don't want to play that, play Yakuza. YES it is an rpg, and YES has bleep tons of minigames. And i don't mean the yakuza like a dragon. ANY game in the series

i see a lot of people recommending DQ and chrono and i played them all guys, but idk about chrono cross is it worth it ?

an achievements set for the game https://retroachievements.org/game/18164 someone working on them rn so id love to 100% the game and have lil cool badge showing that i got all achievements and stuff
Chrono cross was pretty good
Alot of characters
Not quite the same battle system as Crono trigger, but you can run from literally anything
Including bosses, giving you a chance to heal then try again if you are struggling

metaphor is on my mind but im shying away from atlus games since im fed up with persona for the moment, i wanted someone to recomend me Fantasian since ive seen no one talking about it at all have you tried it ?, ive played yakuza but i needed a rest from that too since i played at least 10 games in one year and man it sucked my soul

I had RPG burnout a while ago, and it was Shadow Hearts specifically that broke it. Somehow both wacky and dark, a real breath of fresh air in the genre.

If you want to get lost in an Rpg try Romancing SaGa III for the snes, it really breaks the "linear" format that Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy took. It is turn based, it is stat leveling focused (Use and axe, level up the axe), and as for game progression, the world opens up by actually talking to in game NPC's plus leveling up your general HP stat. It was a very big surprise for me because I went in blind and the challenge is great. Awesome environments too plus good music.

The same goes for Crystal Project - that one is fairly open and has a really in-depth, customizeable job/class system, if that kind of thing interests you.
Crystal Project doesn't get nearly enough love. Great game!

Only a little bit, they added it to gamepass, but I've been preoccupied with other backlog of games. It is actually good. Won't lie, from what I heard, it is a taxing game. Been playing Visions of mana and remake of Trials of Mana(3D) which actually pretty good. Visions of mana literally now a collectathon game rather than the traditional hack and slash, and Trials is just fun. Also 7daystodie got a 2.0 and....usually when you update a game, it should be fun...it is not and it is just so much worse.

Great games to relax and have fun imo are crafting games. Harvest moon/Seasons games are my favorite go to, mostly the Rune Factory series. Stardew valley is fun, Terraria x palworld is something I also want to check out, and My Time series is a great. Hope evergreen is just as fun.

heeeeeeeyyyy everyone i just wanted some recommendations to some rpg games that's fun to play and enjoy the world and break from my burnout
i really don't know what to ask for exactly but i need an rpg that's fun with mini games and idk interesting world
so recommend me some games with your reasons without soiling anything about the game, its ok if its turned based or action
Have you tried Terranigma (as I mentioned in my previous post) ? If not, give it a chance....I completed this Game 6 Times now, and I'm sure I will do it again, later this year...it's such a brilliant Game and a shame that there's no port, remaster or remake.

oh yeah i looked at it and added it to the list, still trying to figure what to play cuz i wanna commit to playing the games but also i want a pallet cleanser that get me easy going if you know what i mean, a lot of people reccomended me some ps1 rpgs that kinda hit the spot for me "the edgy bizzare" typa vibes that i enjoy with unique 90 art style, I'm totally gonna play it since you recommend it this much but adding a lot of games to my list then decide what to play first

Disco Elysium, it'll break something in you for sure.
i still think about the lines "you know what you told me? 'i dont want to get better, i want to get worse.' " and the moment roy tells you that you forced him to buy your gun cause otherwise you would've killed yourself that night.

Ok, so for this Game, you're going to need chains and whips. A muzzle, 14 bottles of lubricant... Huh? What? Oh! A video game or TTRPG... sorry, my bad

I played Child of Light after listening to Yahtzee tongue-lash it and it's become one of my favorite RPGs. The combat is a hybrid between turn-based and real-time, the characters are memorable, and the art style has a lovely storybook aesthetic.

Also, it's on sale.

This next one is a crack-suggestion but hear me out: Hakoniwa Explorer Plus. It's a hack n' slash RPG-lite with weird humor and weirder game mechanics. No, it is not a hentai, whoever put that tag there is a goddamn troll. ::badpc

Also, it's on sale.
