heeeeeeeyyyy everyone i just wanted some recommendations to some rpg games that's fun to play and enjoy the world and break from my burnout
i really don't know what to ask for exactly but i need an rpg that's fun with mini games and idk interesting world
so recommend me some games with your reasons without soiling anything about the game, its ok if its turned based or action

not sure wat systems ur looking for, personally ive been playing a lot of DS titles lately & have been having a lot of fun with Dragon Quest IX!
not much in the mini game department but it has a heavy focus on collecting different armor/weapons & customizing ur party which makes it feel really open

on gba Magical Vacation is a title i think about a lot, really cute & cozy rpg with fun characters & writing.

Clair Obscur is kinda doing that for me atm, if you're in the mood for something recent.

If you're looking for something classic, I can always recommend the old standby of Chrono Trigger - always worth a (re-)play.

Or for something more out of left field - the Voice of Cards games are all really good, simultaneously orthodox and unorthodox JRPGs that have flown under the radar for many people.
The same goes for Crystal Project - that one is fairly open and has a really in-depth, customizeable job/class system, if that kind of thing interests you.

Also, Caves of Qud - a ridiculously intricate, procedurally generated open world CRPG with turn-based everything and the freedom to make some of the most insane characters imagineable.

Brigand Oaxaca for weird, fun, janky indie pc game. Final Fantasy Tactics for easy to emulate polished Tactical rpg.

You could try dragon quest V

"YS VIII Lacrimosa of Dana" is on Vita and Switch, and on other consoles as well; it has a huge island to explore (with beaches, mountains, etc), mini games in form of "defending your village from waves of monsters", lots of side quests if you want, to collect items and to rise friendship with the other castaways, BUT it's most of all an action rpg, with flashy battles, three characters in the party (six in total), and during battle you switch them because you may need the sword, the piercing weapon or the hammer (every character has its weapon). I may be spoiled by memories, but I played it on Vita and sometimes I still "see" those plains, the world felt so vibrant (so in HD on other consoles I think it's even better).
Mind it, it's quite a long game, so don't choose it if you're looking for some 10-hours-rpg just to unwind before another long title.

RPG with fun minigames...you have Breath of Fire II with fishing minigame (my favourite version) or Final Fantasy VIII with Triple Triad card game and Chocobo Pocketstation.

I don't know if you played these or not, but here we go:
Live A Live (snes) is one of best RPG games i have played.
Magic Knight Rayearth (snes) was very soothing for me.
Wonder Project J (both 1 and 2) raising your robot child... very nice game.
Chaos Seed (snes) quite unique... a mixture of Base Defense, Real Time combat, Dungeon exploring, and RPG... also great story.
Act Raising (snes) you are a god, and should help humans to create their civilization, and protect them.
Glory of Heracles (nds) play as son of Zeus with a lot of story twists, a linear rpg, but a very nice one.
Rune Factory 3 (nds) one of my favorite games of all times.

If you have a good PC or a PS5 you could try Cyberpunk 2077. A great FPS-RPG in my Opinion.
If you want something to emulate, maybe Shadowrun on the SNES or the Genesis, The Matrix can be considered a Minigame. (These 2 are completely different Games)
Breath of Fire 3 which like the second one has a fishing Minigame.
I doubt you haven't played it yet, but if you haven't: Final Fantasy VII there a multiple Minigames (Chocobo Racing, Snowboarding,...)
Terranigma an Action-RPG for the SNES that's absolute fantastic

If you want an RPG with a bunch of minigames then the Breath of Fire series will have your back. I'd recommend 3 and 4 in particular.

This is what I was gonna say: Clair Obscur.

And another Voice of Cards lover!? Awesome! Thought I was the only one.

Really this entire post is gold.

PC: Disco elysium, Shadowrun. And for some not 100% classic rpg games spellforce3 is a excellent rts/rpg with a good lore, campaigns with a lot of story telling focus, but play it in normal the AI in easy is lame and in hard it literally cheat. Another not full rpg saga I can recommend in PC is Remnant I and II are good shooters with class systems and have an ok world lore.
And for others platforms others people recommend you greats titles, try them, I personally recommend you Nostalgia for the NDS.

grim dawn
i was also on the verge of a game block but it was sitting in my steam library unplayed

I recall Final Fantasy IX was really fun to play with absolutely no grinding and some fun extra stuff like the card mini-game
