I haven't played the other versions of Alien3, but the Megadrive version is pretty cool and playable. The game has almost a survival horror dynamic, taking into account the limitations; the Xenomorphs are always lurking to take you down. You have to save all the prisoners and manage the ammunition in your weapons and find the exit in time. The game requires memorization but the gameplay is very precise and rewarding. The sound effects and music are good and reinforce the atmosphere, and you can improve them a little with a mod.

Personally i enjoyed Alien 3 the movie.. yeah it had its faults but i think people are a little to hard on it as they were expecting something to rival the awesomeness of the first 2. Also have been meaning play Alien Isolation which i have heard nothing but great things about. Will hopefully play Alien 3 for sega sometime in the future also :)

The SNES one has a different structure, also interesting in its own right and I do believe there are improvement hacks for it, as well.

Yes, there's a hack named Assembly Cut, that improves the controls. I still have to try this one

It's the jumping that felt terribly off to me in Alien 3 SNES. I don't know if it is the lateral speed or the awkward animation, something feels off.

You have to watch the first 2 Alien films. The first film being among the greatest horror films ever made and the sequel among the greatest action movies ever. Both are best watched alone in a dark room by yourself with headphones in :)

Each of the different system versions are so different and interesting in their own ways. The SNES version was always my favorite. I need to check out that improvement hack.

I really like the movie too. It's way better than Resurrection.

Gonna see if this video has any good info morsels now.

One of my best emulator finds ever was this game. Totally awesome for me, as a fan of the flawed film it’s based on.
