So I used my partner's laptop to convert it with psx2psp, and it boots the playstation screen. Then it stays on a black screen.

If you haven't already, you need to combine the game's four BIN files into one before converting to EBOOT.

To do this, download the first link embedded in this post (the binmerge one):

Extract all the contents of the zip into the folder where you have your four BIN files and one CUE file for the game. Then run '!Multi BINs to Single BIN (merged).bat'

A single combined BIN and a new CUE will appear in the 'merged' folder. Use psx2psp to convert that BIN to EBOOT. Worked for me - got it running on my PSP Go and Vita.

EDIT: Or just take a copy of mine :)
