AI Development in Gaming blessing or curse ?

So we all can see that AI is rapidly is Advancing and we can't stop it anymore regardless of where we stand on this Issue and it gets more and more Involved in the Process of Game development so what is your Opinion on that can AI help us make better and quicker games that don't take forever to create anymore so Instead of years it only needs months probably.
My Opinion:
I believe that AI should not be Involved in Script and Story writing and not be Involved in the creation of Characters and the Designs of In game Designes,but I believe AI should be used in regards of creating large areas like Desert/Forest levels or average Villages maybe even some Cities in games and spots that are not that Important and would take much needed time in development and it would be nice if it could be used in bug and play testing of the games.

I agree the box has been opened and AI can't be stopped anymore for better or for worse either we go with it and try to Improve our own AI or we will be left behind and Dominated by other powers who will strongly Invest in there AI instead this is just how the world operates its like saying I dislike Firearms and that is why I keep using my Sword while others are going to use Rifles against me.
Don't get me wrong AI will probably have many bad things it will bring with it

but the world is shit in many aspects either way so who cares if a Psychotic AI rules over us or Psychotic Politicians rule over us they value us the same with AI being more efficient.
Ai is going the get rouge that is clear I hope for everybody as it was already a test where AI has proven to self preserve with every means necessary

In a creative medium I only see its value in eliminating tedium. Something like Speedtree, fine. But the old techbro talking point of an imagined system that spits out a new hit game with minimal staff in the fraction of the time, I'll pass.

It could be used as a tool to ease the work up for game and accelerate the creation if its used wisely .... but im sure its getting abused so hard , its not funny anymore.

Alot of talentless people excusing with the AI way too much for their lack of design and conceptual skills for creating a game . It sounds harsh but its sadly true .

I don't care when it's used to make silly pics (I myself have done it on the forum) but any kind of involvement in actual art is a no go. I guess it could be used for coding maybe? But even then I doubt it...

The biggest issue I have with AI is that it'll create joblessness, giving people less purpose and meaning in their lives, leading to more depression, more suicide, more addiction, and more crime. This is why I'm against something like Universal Basic Income. While it seems like it's inevitable given the road we're headed down, the problems that arise when people have no purpose and meaning in their loves can only be fulfilled with meaningful work.

But the powers that be, regardless of political party, regardless of country, are fully embracing AI. There's no escaping what's coming.

One of the predecessors of what we know as AI is AutoCAD. Same with Photoshop

AI, instead of being able to ASSIST, became a tool to REPLACE

That's why AI today is gaming devt's curse

Unless the current generation of gaming PRODUCERS (not just devs, as producers are the ones holding the money) are removed and then replaced with people with passion for the field (not just to earn money), a fingertip feel for the reality of the industry (not just following the trends of the money-makers/big hits) and a vision for creativity (and not just a lazy-ass "that can be overlooked" quality control), AI can never be a blessing...

I won't get mad when an Indie Game Dev uses AI genned content* for their Passion Project RPG Maker game which they work alone and they have the budget of pocket lint and 30 gill
They can be master in coding and music producing but having 0 Skill in Drawing and no money to hire artists!

But when Million dollars Triple A companies do it when they have high budget its Gross! They just want to cut corners and delete the middle man!

*Except if was genned in Chat GPT, with the nausea introducing yellow piss filter and the lame artstyle! Have some decency!
