Do you think it's necessary to have such sites to earn an achievement? Well... in my case it ended up messing up a certain experience that I wanted to have better with a game. Not that this is bad, obviously I can get it Disable, because of this certain pressure to gain achievement and so ended my experience in earthbound and other games...

i find retroachievements to be at its best when you're replaying games you know well. it gives them some extra replay value that isnt in the base game, and you can have a new experience with an old favorite. i dont think it works super well for blind playthroughs, though. not to say that it can't work, i had a fun time going for the achievements in SMT if... when i played that game blind, and it didn't hinder my experience all that much.
