I'm personally willing to compromise like that, even when I believe that such content has no place on a gaming forum and that leaving it in as it is right now could drive casual users and those just getting a feel for the place before commiting to posting away.

I think it's a good ideia to tag these kinds of posts so it would be like in X, where the image is completely blurry and then the user is asked if they want to see the post. Everybody wins

I don't remember if I've done that but if I see something too violent/suggestive I tend to put a spoiler with a warning (so it will ultimately be the responsibility of the one clicking on it).

Spoilers are meant to not be clicked if the person doesn't want to see it.

I see. Yeah it's not a bad idea then, maybe the mods should instead of erasing post with this kind of content, they send a warning to the author to use the spoiler tag on the explicit post or else it will be erased

Please note that posting non-explicit saucy content is not completely prohibited, as stated in the rules.

The important thing to keep in mind is the "context".

We already have a lot of threads where posting such content is acceptable.
Threads such as waifu/husbando characters are some examples.
It's usually obvious just by reading the title of the thread what to expect inside.
As long as such posts are contained within their relevant threads, they won't be deleted.

That being said, if the context of a thread is deemed too risky, the thread might be locked or deleted.

Status posts have the special context of "Site's Front Page", and this context is more restrictive.

In the end, the mentioned rules are not designed to "restrict" as their main goal, but to re-organize things.

We were too permissive and that was our error.
