There's the time that Alfredo Griffin played the MLB All-Star Game because he was kinda there... turns out that the starting player for the American League that played his same position got hurt minutes before the game and he had travelled to watch with a friend.

There's a story about the origin of the term "bug" being used to talk about glitches in software because some people once found a literal bug (a moth to be exact) in a computer which was causing glitches. The story, while true, wasn't the origins. The origins of the term actually dates much further back, to before computers were even a thing, and actually comes from the same word where Bugs Bunny gets his name. That is when something "bugs" you, it annoys you, much like a fly (aka a bug) buzzing around your head.

Also, when Scrooge in A Christmas Carol says "Bah, humbug." He's pretty much just saying "Ah, bullshit." in an old-timey self-censored way. In a similar note, when Mater says "Dadgum!" in the Cars series, he's just saying "God damn!" in a self-censored way by swapping the first syllable of both words.

And lastly, there was a cut spider character in Little Big Planet 3.

EDIT:
And one extra random fact. The mouths of the babies on PF Magic's Babyz game, is actually a polygon. They implemented polygons into the engine that they had more or less been using since Ballz 3D, just to animate a mouth more realistically.

Did you know that the famous Hatsune Miku song "Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu -DEAD END-" (often translated to "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku") was based off a real event?

Around October 2007, less than two months after Miku V2 first debuted, she vanished from Google and nearly every other online search engine, effectively wiping her from the internet for most. There are multiple possible reasons for this, with the most common explanation being that Miku simply blew up so huge and so quickly that most search engines flagged her name as spam. There's another belief that Miku's name was taken down due to actions by TBS (Japan) as a result of a controversial TV segment, which likened Vocaloid and Miku producers as no-life otaku.

Of course, I don't need to tell you that Miku was fine. She reappeared in search results the very next day. The now famous cosMo song would take inspiration from these events.

And here's the later version of the song you're probably more familiar with

So not as unknown or niche as some of these, but i love historical coincidences so...., abraham lincoln's son, robert todd lincoln, was saved from falling off a train platform and being hit by a train by john wilks booth's brother, edwin booth, a few months before john wilks booth would shoot and kill abraham lincoln.

Did you know that Mobile Suit Gundam (1979) and New Mobile Report Gundam Wing (1995) both premiered on 7th of April on their respective years.

Did you know the first ever depictions of the battle of stalingrad in RTS was in sudden strike 1? There was few i think grand strategy games that depicted it but first big depiction of the iconic battle was in SS1.

Oh and the most funny fact ever is engineers in sudden strike 2 can blow themselves up when planting anti personnel mines kinda realistic you know?

Sorry english is not my first language so they're both the same to me, but iirc most corvids are great at it
Never be sorry for something that is not your fault, I understand. Ravens are bigger compared to crows.

The story of Jekyll & Hyde was among the first to have a plot twist in the end of the story.

Frankenstein is also among the first horror, Sci-Fi books too.

Did you know that Super Sentai, Japanese OG Power Rangers for you the uninitiated, is officially part of Marvel multiverses? The designated universe is Earth 79203.

RED Entertainment ran out of money during development of the first Sakura Wars that they decided to have a silent protagonist. However Oogami was given voice though, provided by Akio Suyama, he was Sega intern at the time and volunteered to play the role for free because he was curious with game development.

According to Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, best known for his GAME OVER YEAAAHH and also for many of the vocal in Daytona songs, SONIC Team is an abbreviation of Sight of night, I cheer to embrace a magic, he put it in the lyrics for Burning Rangers theme song.

Did you know in most SEA countries it is illegal to purchase a sex toy but it is not illegal to own one? If you got stopped by a custom officer they are liable to let you go if you CAN'T give a proof of purchase and declare that stuff is your personal belonging.

We have a local show here translated literally to "Find me a solution" it's been running everyday since 2013 I think ?
-People didn't get bored of
-They are still watching it
-It's kinda interesting

Sherlock Holmes' Author. Arthur Conan Doyle, eventually grew weary of Sherlock Holmes and the famous book where he dies (The Final Problem) was he wanting him killed to go and write somethign else, to keep him dead, he raised the writing fees so hight nobody wanted to pay them, it took Arthur's own mom complaining over Sherlock's death to retcon his death

Didja know that *belches and rubs tummy* ohhhh I just swallowed a human whole so sensual 🥵

In Pokémon, Brock is named Brock because it sounds similar to the english word Rock, which is the type of Pokémon he and his gym specialize in.
