I blame us for continuing to buy their stuff. Nintendo is like any other business:

Number go down = Bad

If you want to incentivize their bad behavior, then continue buying their products.

Considering how well Nintendo games tend to age, if I have to wait another generation before getting to play Metroid Prime 4, that's fine.

Nintendo is now the Apple of video games, it has no power or build quality, with so many remakes and remasters it basically offers you the same game year after year But it is clear that it is one of the brands that have been in this market for the longest time, this has given them the advantage of being practically the face of video games and people are going to be guided by this, because they are not just buying from a brand, they are buying from the brand

You are right, however for business to make money certain people who uses governmental system for their personal gain also joined the greed wagon therefore they allow and cooperate with companies for it so "I scratch your back and I'll scratch yours". So from my mind thing is not simple to be in lower level we can call "political" that's really trivial side topic that doesn't even matter regarding this topic; it start from selfishness -> economy -> politics -> deep human nature to have the power so what I see is a psychological thing so it's what I will mention about to avoid rule 3 here lol.

Some are equal, some are more equal. They give you rights but they decide what other rights they should have themselves. Some like to control, some like to be controlled. In that context some people want to be threated badly by their leaders, some wanna be the leader who treat people badly. That's why despite how video game companies openly BS customers for scam people does "enjoy" and willingly pay money to them for whatever justification they came up with. Yet again this topic is not simple as a political manner for it's naturally about psychology. That's why when people see a way to gain something out of it, sense of morality and decent future of the world is out of the window -> people focuses on "now" and their own selfishness to sacrifice others for their own short term gain. In general tactical scam for easy and quick profit is a strategic business fail, however companies constantly pushing to the limit to hit on the tolerance level of customers to maximize profit and often by doing so they commit economic and social suicide lolol. This is noob way to make business.

Currently world is in a so economical state that people sell you insanity to make you go crazy or make you believe you gone crazy just so they can sell you its "cure". This is one of the oldest scam method that people literally make people sick just to sell often a BS remedy that doesn't even work. In video game context it is not drastic as this BS, yet for mental health-wise and how useless and scam video game industry turned into this is the way whole world makes money anymore. So in this theatrical BS our lead actors are not limited by political people, even local mafia is in the equation lolol. So the topic is pretty much how psychology effect economy instead of narrow POV of politics lol.

In the end most customers believes they are just an audiance in this theatrical play where "those in power do their thing while I'm just a powerless victim" so they feel like "all I can do is just watching" because they kinda enjoy playing the victim card lol, however they don't realize customers are the actors in this play as "stars" that without them this play cannot happen from the start. It means any company falls into dust without enough customers. However number 1 issue regarding is when people have money they do feel good spending it like they use it as therapy method lol. They like to feel they have this power and they can feel rich and all. They like to be the dogs of their "owners". Then it became a social status thing to be able to afford Nintendo products despite how hard and expensive it gets to buy. This is literally why luxury items can sell well and video games are a luxury item. It kinda means customers of luxury item often buys the item despite how useless it actually can be. This is why even local mafia is in video game industry to make money lolol.
