GTA V was one of the most important and valuable games I played in my life. Was there for me in hard time. Really helped me English and expand my tastes in media and storytelling. It developed a deeper fondness I have for video game and tv show stories now. It’s one of my favorite games of all time and my second favorite gta. It was also a really big event for me. No game after captured the same feel. Truly one of a kind and I’m grateful for all the memories. R* really knocked it out of the park here, this game was just brimming with passion.

GTA IV had a better story, but V still had great characters and played equally as well as its predecessors.

As someone who got into GTA with III, I've repeatedly tried to get into V and have never been able to. I liked IV a lot more. Despite being tired of remasters and remakes, IV's one of those games in need of one.

Anyways, it saddens me that we got GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, Chinatown Wars, IV, IV: The Lost & the Damned, IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony, Bully, Red Dead Revolver, Red Dead Redemption, Manhunt, Manhunt 2, The Warriors, Smuggler's Run, Smuggler's Run 2, Midnight Club, Midnight Club 2, Midnight Club 3, Midnight Club: Lost Angeles, Table Tennis, Max Payne 3, as well as 3rd party Rockstar published games like Oni, State of Emergency, Max Payne 1 and 2, and LA Noire in a span of 11 years, whereas now it takes 13 years to make a new GTA game.

Although today I don't like the GTA series NOW and would rather play Saints Row 3/4, I have many warm memories of GTA 5. I was in mid school and often visited a classmate because he had a PS3 to play with him::smug
And of course, as teenagers, we loved playing GTA. We watched the GTA 5 trailers with such excitement!
So in December 2013 we collected pocket money together for dat desirable GTA 5 disc. We were the happiest kids on Earth that day::sailor-embarrassed

Bought this at a 24-hour Wal Mart on launch day at like 2 in the morning, went home and put the code in for the unlockable blimp. Found it, took it to the highest altitude I could get it to, and jumped out to see if it still conveyed the sensation of falling. It did. Then I played about two more hours and never touched it again. I'm sure it's great given how many times they've reissued it, but it didn't keep my attention.

I got GTA V on PS3 a few weeks after it had come out, and from a local 2nd-hand thrift store. Paid like $30 for it, finished it and took it to a video game shop while it was still valuable enough to them for me to break even on a trade-in.
Good times!

I have since bought it on PS4 & PS5 because I do like the game, and it gets pretty cheap every so often. I'm still kinda nauseous from the 1st-person playthrough I did on PS4 ::nervous-prinny

The real controversy here...
I like Saints Row as a franchise WAY more :loldog

If you had asked me I would say "Saints Row 4 > GTA San Andreas > Sleeping Dogs > the rest of GTA and Saints Row games but GTA 4 and the last Saints Row reboot BS competes with each other on which is the worse" lolol.

Good times.
Wish Franklin's part of the story didn't feel rushed, but overall a great time.

Looking back on it, I probably like 4 more since replaying it, even though 5 plays better than any other game in the series by a million miles. I think I'm just an east coast person more lol
