dynasty warriors

About to play Dynasty Warriors 5, a well received classic. I'm skipping DW9, just doesn't seem my style. But is DW8XL worth it coming from 5? I've heard the story is decent enough. What about the difficulty? I do like a challenge. Is there enough content? Not interested in the DLC whatsoever.

out of all the announcements from the showcase, this one annoyed me, it looks fun but feels like cut contents from WO4U, the way Koei Tecmo made new DW and SW games backed them into a corner so bad that they are still reusing DW8 and SW4 assets and mechanics, KT is doing some questionable things...

As someone who played Dynasty Warriors 8 when it come out, this the longest draught period I’ve suffered between two entries I like. I’m not sure if I should be happy that origins is out or sad it took so long for it to come out. My favorite DWs are 5, 7 and 8.
