Game Description:

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes (タツノコ VS. CAPCOM) is a Fighting video game published by Capcom and developed by Eighting released on December 11th, 2008 for the Wii.

This is the original Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom as it was released initially in Japan only. The difference between versions are as follows:

  • Roster Changes:

    • JP Exclusive: Hakushon Daimaō (The Genie). He was cut from the Western release due to licensing issues.

    • EN Additions: Five new characters were added: Zero (Mega Man X), Frank West (Dead Rising), Joe the Condor, Tekkaman Blade, and Yatterman-2.

  • Online Play: The EN version introduced Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support; the original JP version was local play only.

  • Mini-Games:

    • JP: Featured character-specific mini-games for the entire cast.

    • EN: Replaced all of them with a single top-down shooter called "Ultimate All-Shooters."

  • Endings:

    • JP: High-quality animated anime endings.

    • EN: Static illustrations (comic book style) by UDON.

  • Music: The JP version features individual themes for every character (mostly original anime themes), while the EN version uses generic stage themes.

  • Gameplay Balance: The EN version (Ultimate All-Stars) features significant rebalancing, damage tweaks, and a more refined "Baroque" system.
