This one build in particular in called the Winter CES Build which was showcased at the Consumer electronic show in early 1995.
It's a hard build to find. You can even see screenshots and people playing this version of starfox 2 in magazines, and in articles about upcoming releases in 1995.
Features: unused enemies, unused levels, clearer map indicators, and distinct ship behaviors.
This version became playable for fans after its source code leaked in 2020, allowing for compilation into bootable ROMs, revealing a game much closer to completion than prior prototypes.
This is a harder game in comparison to the final build. Time does not stop while the player decides what to do or when doing his move, and even when in battles, the enemy forces will keep moving on the map torwards Corneria.
