The King of Fighters '99 is a Bootleg/Fighting video game published by X Boy released on 1999 for the SEGA Genesis.
The King of Fighters '99 for the genesis is nothing like The King of Fighters '99. But that was to be expected. It's not just that it couldn't be done, it wasn't even attempted to copy the game 1:1
The roster is very particular, you have KOF characters but also Street Fighter characters and even an X-Man! (Marvel vs Capcom influences?) each with their respective zombie versions!
Both roms are the same, f2 is supposedly cracked to play on Kega Fusion 3.51 and above and an Everdrive-MD. But for me it doesn't (Black screen on Fusion).
I got both working fine on Genesis Plus Gx core on Retroarch though.
