Game Description:
What is The Chilling Cut?
Mizzurna Falls is one of the first open world games in the PS1 era, an unknown gem with impressive fits such as a fully explorable town with unique NPCs, each one with their own schedule. The premise of the game is solving a missing person case within 7 in game days, and the players need to explore in order to order to find clues and solve the mystery.
The problem is, the time passage is insanely fast and borderline broken, and every person who completed it confirmed that it is near impossible to finish it on a blind playthrough without a step by step guide... which goes against the game's nature as an explorable open world.
The Chilling Cut patch, made by me with the immense help of Starlite, aims to slow down the game's time passage by x4 to make the game more accessible for new players. It is only affecting the original second counter of the game to be slower, meaning that the challenge of finding out where to be and when is still intact
Which Translation of the game is it compatible with?
This patch was first made for the 2021 Cirosan English translation of the came, but there is a sub-folder containint a versions of the patch made for the Owl translation as well as the original Japanese one
The Spanish translation is not supportedDoes it work with RetroAchievements?
After talks to the RA team, it was decided that this patch is disqualified for Achievement support due to the severe effects on the game's difficulty as well as the set's.
