Game Description:

Rude Breaker (ルードブレーカー) is a Shoot 'Em Up video game published by Compile and developed by Compile released on May 5th, 1996 for the PC-98.

This is a rare and notable PC-98 title. It was only available via subscription to Disk Station Special magazine and was included in its 10th volume. It's a spin-off of the Aleste series and was the last original shmup developed by Compile before disbanding in 2003 (Zanac X Zanac was released for PS1 in 2001 but was a remake and not an original concept).

More in-depth info about this game can be found here

To play this game you must insert the .hdm file into the first floppy drive and restart the emulator. The controls seem pretty simple and use the arrow keys and space/z.

I highly recommend the emulator Neko Project 21/W for playing on Windows. It's the most feature complete emulator for the NEC PC-9801 and is in active development receiving frequent updates. Use this guide for help on how to obtain and configure the emulator.

Note: if anybody who knows Japanese is willing to translate the text of the options screen into English and save it in a .txt file I'll append the translation to the description. Since the options are only in Japanese and the only key thing that needs to be translated in this game.
