Game Description:

Fisraduth: Castle of Tyramis (ティラミスの城-) is a Action video game published by C.A.T. SOFT, N released on 1988 for the NES.

It was released for an add-on of the Famicom, called "Family BASIC". I recommend you a lot to read about it and its games on Gaming Alexandria. Crazy stuff!!

This game is an artistic gem. Family BASIC limits you to specific sprites: Mario, Pauline, Penguin, Fly, etc. This game somehow uses those to create everything from a shielded knight to a flame spewing tektite to a gowned lady – all 2-3x taller than normal sprites. You are usually limited to a single background in Family BASIC. Fisraduth uses darkness to hide portions of the background to give you the feeling of multiple rooms. There are even hidden, secret rooms. It does have its flaws and it's very difficult.

The rom shared by Ozidual contains two additional versions with the difficulty modified to Easy and Very Easy. What wasn't clear, for me, is if these changes were something you could make when you were programming it on the Family BASIC, or if it could be considered some sort of hack from them. I have the impression that it's the first case. Anyway, for more details on this game in particular, you can read it here.

It works on VirtuaNES – Read about How to emulate a Family BASIC ROM. Or... if you prefere a simpler solution, just play the hacked and translated version that runs on FCEUmm, Mesen etc.
