Features:
- Complete visual overhaul of all game graphics to fit a cozy, GBC-like aesthetic
- All Pokémon from Generations 1-3 are obtainable, along with cross-generation evolutions (ex: Roserade, Mamoswine, Farigiraf)
- Tweaks to many traditionally “bad” Pokémon to make them more interesting and usable (ex: Ghost/Flying Noctowl, Grass/Dragon Sceptile, Water/Fire Octillery)
- Updated battle engine to most recent games (Physical/Special split, Fairy type, etc.)
- New minigames and events to bring life to Hoenn, such as a Scuba Diving competition in Pacifidlog Town and Pinball games used to unlock rare items and Alolan Eggs!
- Following Pokémon!!
- The Rustboro City Wishing Well, using Wishing Star items as a currency in a gacha-like system to get random Pokémon! Great for shaking up repeat playthroughs
- Cheat codes accessible in-game via the Player’s GameCube
- Hard Mode (disabled by default), Soft Level Cap toggle (enabled by default), and more settings accessible by interacting with book on Player’s desk
- Improved battle backgrounds, adding more life to battles
- Some Pokémon with more “boring” types have been updated, filling new typing niches and being more unique
- A few improved battle sprites
- HM System Revamp – after picking up an HM and earning the corresponding gym badge, Pokémon that can naturally learn the HM move will be able to use it outside of battle without it taking a move slot!
- Toggle Auto-run by pressing R
- Modified many tiles to look better (many by Arex on itch!)
- Spiky Ear Pichu will be an obtainable Pokémon, with stats that aren’t horrible! It will take some exploring to find it, but i think it’s a fun easter egg lol
- Important new QoL features – An option to disable battle backgrounds for people seeking a style more faithful to GBC battle scenes, disabling the built-in soft level caps for those players who enjoy overleveling (me sometimes lol), and a simple Hard Mode difficulty, boosting opponent levels and posing a greater challenge!
- All Legendaries will be included in the game! Some have more in-depth events, such as Mew and Ho-oh/Lugia (which were locked behind special distribution events in vanilla Pokémon Emerald). All require some sort of exploration or challenge to find and battle, which should make a fresh experience for new and veteran Hoenn players! Even better, many are accessible before becoming Champion!
- New Events to get helpful items like a Shiny Charm, and two lines from future generations: Tinkatink and Applin!
Be sure to read the included Documentation PDF for more important and helpful info about this hack. The cheat codes used by the game can be found in the provided .txt file.
Sorry about how the screenshots are done in this post. The already made collages seemed way more efficient than me taking some manually. Plus it showcases the hack pretty well.
