This is actually the first game on the SaGa series, since people on the west didn’t know what saga was and the game was somehow similar (?) to final fantasy, Square decided to rename it as “The Final Fantasy Legend” as a marketing strategy to sell more copies.
Original Title: Makai Toushi Sa·Ga (魔界塔士 Sa・Ga?, lit. “Warrior in the Tower of the Spirit World ~ Sa·Ga”)
