    I liked Pom Poko and My Neighbour Totoro, but the rest weren't my cup of tea. No intentions of watching The Boy and the Heron. King Charles seems to be a fan lol.

    Guys, if you aren't reading @Kannibal's fighting game retrospective series, start doing so ASAP. Extremely well-written and structured, and I love how thoroughly the impact of each game on the general fighter culture is described. Excellent image formatting, too. Phenomenal work, man – it gets an A+ from Gorse! ⭐

    Is that new Borderlands movie worth a watch for free? I get a digital copy through my TV provider, but I don’t even know if I’ll bother. I HATE the writing in the games. If anyone has seen it, I’d really love to hear your thoughts!

    I probably ruined the original movie for myself because I saw a totally wacked out edit of the entire film on cytube, but I'm sure any confidence they had in releasing the film will pay off if you decide to give it a chance.

    That PSP thread brought back a lot of great memories. At the time, I really thought video games were going to continue along that line in the future, with unique, varied visuals and original, interesting gameplay systems and well-produced soundtracks comparable to mainstream music. OH WELL – TIME TO PLAY CONCORD!!! 😭 😭 😭

    Something I love about this forum is that it isn't connected to any of the big social media platforms, so our userbase doesn't have to follow along with any other culture. It's so refreshing to not worry about making a faux pas – I can just blather on about anything I want to. 😁

    I miss the time when people could just express their ideas without an overuse of internet slang. I'm not against it, though. But I definitely feel that some people have sort of lost their ability to express basic social interaction because of it.

    I was watching YouTube Shorts, and some of them make zero sense. Usually, it's accompanied by AI and TTS with stock or some cheap mobile game footage. One of them referred to Dostoevsky (a 19th-century Russian novelist) as a "content creator" and another to engineers as "these nerds" - but not in a jokey ironic sense, they have to dumb it down for their audience.

    Then words like "Unalive" or "PDFile" to bi-pass the censors like something out of Demolition Man. I genuinely worry about Gen Alpha, they have zero clue how to socialize - even online. The generational gap between Millenials and Gen Z to Gen Alpha is huge despite the short-span because of how rapid technology has developed.

    Wow, I didn't even know that this part of the website existed! While I'm here, lemme ask: Quake 1 and 2 are currently on sale for $8 on PSN. It's only the bundle that's on sale, so for $4 each, are the modern console versions of both games worth it?
