Release Date 03 March 2026
Revision History (v1.2 to v1.5)
Major improvements have been made to finalize the v1.5 release:
- Sound Test Menu: The 'End' option to exit the menu is now correctly displayed in English.
- Technique Updates: Updated the abbreviations for several techniques to improve visual alignment.
- Updated Text Tiles: Applied font updates for greater clarity and consistency across the interface.
- General Fixes: Successfully removed the majority of trailing visual artifacts surrounding technique and wrestler names.
Development Notes
- Hardware Constraints: Due to the shared Japanese glyph system and resolution limits of the console, specific naming conventions were utilized to maintain structural integrity and prevent memory overflow.
- Font Replacement: A custom one-pixel English font was authored to ensure total legibility on CRT displays across all analog signal types.
- Naming Integrity: Character names were transliterated to preserve 1990s wrestling parody culture and intended phonetic puns.
Deficiencies and Known Issues
- Wrestler and technique names have been abbreviated or truncated strictly as required by the fixed string lengths of the game engine.
- Minor trailing artifacts may still remain after certain wrestler or technique names. This is due to the inherent nature of replacing double-width Japanese text with half-width English text within the BIOS font parameters.
Enjoy the game.
