RB's Notes: As stated, this is incomplete from a script standpoint, save for terminology standardization. Currently this will be most useful for the QoL aspect, of which this particular iteration contains the following:

  • Combat flash removal
  • Halved encounter rate
  • Gold gain increased by 50%
  • Terminology standardization
  • Fast text rendering
  • Battle voices and FMV undubbing

so this might be a really dumb question, but is there a comprehensive lsit of changes made to this romhack from the base game out there anywhere?

As far as I know this patcher targets the English version exclusively. You'd need to get in touch with the creators of the hack to extend support to other patched languages.

I'll update this one once the script is fully modified. Again, the many variants mean a lot of work.
 
Which version has the QoL stuff added? The links don't make it very clear other than that there are 2 versions of dubbed and undubbed for each disc.
AFAIK, all of them. The difference is precisely the changes in script (or not) and the undubbing (or not).
 
The QoL is the same in all cases. No flash, half encounters, double currency.

I'm looking for examples of sentence/word-choice comparisons between the original and re-translation, but I don't see any. Can you post some examples so everyone can see the style and reasoning?

I often look for this when looking at a retranslation mod but I almost never find comparisons and explanations. Oftentimes modders explain the Item / Proper Noun changes and standardization but don't show or explain sentence-level changes in general dialog and script.

Can it be implemented with the pt br patch maybe using this QoL Features into the pt br patch or would have to do myself, IDK just asking if it's possible.
You'd have to get in touch with the Perfect Works Build creator to extend support. The patcher only targets an untouched .iso.

been playing this for a while now, thanks for this version. makes the experience very smooth, at least so far.
Have you feel some changes in the disc 2 ?

World building would be a better name because of the terminology fixes and script that might be more clear when i played in the og versiom , i dont care much about the encounter neither gold rate but is good for someone who wants enjoy a good exp and mainly Takahashis OG script and his main ideas translated precisely

i want give a try to this hack and feels its not going to cover much of the second disc a part that would be awesome be recreated through a fangame or a remake(knowing Square i doubt its going to happen ). It would be a greater game if the development was not such a mess though.
