I couldn't tell you why, but yea it's tiring especially when the series spawned soooo many games and across so many platforms. If only developers thought smth like "oh we could have this game be a what if story" but nOOO it's always the same, from SNES to now.

And lilteray just advanced adventure, the origins games(which i dont really like) and that wii game are based off the og dragon ball in rest theres just dbz games fr

Because it is easier to retell the same story than to create something completely new. The older the IP, the more this tends to happen, if it is popular. Devs/publishers play it safe to try to make sure a game doesn't flop.

Because the Frieza, Cell, Boo loop be loopin, thats why i like the GBA games, they are original DB not that Z bs with all them blondies.

I know people don't play fighting games for the story, but I appreciated that they wrote an original story for Fighterz, and even designed a brand-new villain for it. Makes it feel like the plot of a Dragonball movie more than just another retread.
I also liked the Xenoverse approach to the whole thing.

What do you want them to do? Xenoverse and Sparking Zero tried making new stuff up and it sucked ass (Those alternate stories made me feel like i was playing through one of those Mexican Dragon Ball theory videos)

A lot of them actually don't, but most of those didn't come out here. And a decent number at least focus on "What if" type stuff.

But it's THE story of DBZ, so it's natural to retell it. And as Koopa said...
It's easy
