This crap is mediocre in the literal sense, and also a perfect example of how not to make a Dark Fantasy story.
- Disinterested edgy protagonist and also poorly developed
- Lots of rap* scenes, and large unnecessary parts
- generic world building
- Secondary cast disinterest
- average animation

I find it amazing how some people at the time, can actually compare this to Berserk.

I don't even need to watch the anime or read the manga to just see how bad this series is, as it really sucks when it took the MC over 300 chapters to confess a rental girlfriend only to get rejected after wasting around 250K yen on her

No, it's actually a fairly competent and fun Game. I called it Waifu of the Wild, since it reminded me a lot of LoZ - BotW.

But I was using the gotcha waifu mechanic as an example of why it does so well.
And honestly, that's 100% of their revenue.

Nah, nothing like that. I worked at an anime shop and we sold that kind of stuff, so eventually you hear things and go, "that didn't happen." Then you see for yourself, and it sure did.

I could sit through the entirety of Midouri, but I just couldn't force myself through HALF an episode of Fire Force. I fucking hated it, I wanted all of the characters to be doused in agent orange, the voice acting was unbearable in both the dub and the sub, there wasn't one original or interesting bone in this things body, and when the main character did the stupid "Oh I smile when I get nervous" and he had these fucking stupid edgy jeff the killer bullshit shark teeth, I physically recoiled in disgust and turned the that shit off. Later, I found out it was the only other action show that David Animation did. The whole reason I watched it cuz I saw a five second clip of a fight scene, the animation and sound design was amazing, but I am not putting with the rest of this fucking awful garbage for a few good fight scenes. How much of an obnoxious, drab, embarrassing piece of shit do you have to be for me to pass up the same studio who made what is probably my favorite piece of media ever made? What a waste of talent.

Emanga Sensei was an anime I watched solely because it was a trending meme at the time. I was also a teenager, so it said a lot when I dropped it after a single episode and never went back.
