What games do you think are unintentionally easy to break in terms of leveling and game mechanics?

Any Fire Emblem with an arena. You can cheese those for all the exp and money you want.

Does Half-Life 2 ABH'ing count lol. You can do Highway 17 in like 5 minutes with it, and you can also use it along with a grenade to skip the Dog cutscene in Black Mesa East amongst other funny things.

In FF Tactics you can reach max level in the first or second battle by turning the last enemy into a frog and having everyone be monk class and spam Chakra. Takes a few hours.

In FF6, during the 2nd part of the game, if you save as soon as Celes gets access to the world map, you can go and get Edgar and Setzer then kill dino's until you're max level, then die, and upon reboot you'll keep the max level and every character you get after will also be max level.

Final fantasy tactics is probably the best example of a game you can completely break with absurdly OP strategies.

My calculator build could win any match on the first turn. Theres lots of other setups that can make the AI look completely helpless.

I haven't played the remake so I don't know if that's still the case.

Wanna know how to break Gro-goroth in Fear and Hunger?

1) Ensure your party has at least one Poison Dart (or a Purple Vial) and several Purifying Talismans. Learn the Leg Sweep skill if possible, as it makes step 2 trivial.

2) On Turn 1, target the Torso (the main body) and use a Poison Dart or Purple Vial. This is the core of the strategy; then start spamming AOE spells to destroy the eyes and hit the arms.

3) Target and destroy the Eyes. If you have Leg Sweep, use it; it instantly takes out three eyes. The eyes deal heavy fire damage and inflict the crippling Burning status.

4) The boss inflicts the Curse status (5-turn death timer). Immediately use a Purifying Talisman on any cursed party member, especially your healer or main character.

5) Survive until turn 5, and the boss is dead.

Weirdly enough, when they updated HL2:DM for the anniversary last year it actually patched it out of the game, so no more speeding around the arena jumpscaring people sadly

Amnesia The Dark Decent probably. Speedruns of this game showing how you can easily go out of bounds, cuz devs never thought somebody would actually try these. Like phasing thru walls and cellings as such.

I'm guessing you have no actual idea how fuckin' long and tedious the process is.

Don't know what version you're running, but don't try this in the original.

Easy if you do your routing. I did this all the time when I was like 12, it was just part of the game for me at that point to go into Chemical Plant Zone 1 with Super Sonic accessible

I find it funny that hitting yourself could make you stronger.

Ok ok, I got a somewhat better example: on Sonic 2 it's possible to get all the emeralds on fricking Emerald Hill.

Consider the context: This is mostly aimed at people that has mastered the game, the level (and finished it several times, with or without the good ending with these Chaos Emeralds) and since Sonic 2 lacked a save feature Super Sonic was gone the moment you saw the credits so getting him only around Casino Night Act 2 if it used the Sonic 1 Big Ring system would mean you would've played Super for about 66% of the game in total.

Having him potentially available by the end of Emerald Hills Act 2 was the best way to make you able to enjoy the full game with that super transformation.

I think it was for the better. At least Sonic 3&K allowing you to redo the Special Stages via the first big ring in Angel Island then Mushroom Hill was an even better choice.
