. I hope you're having a pleasant holiday season.
Let's play a game.

We all know where this is going.

You see, I have this..  theory that there is no game for the Nintendo NES or Super Nintendo that I would not, and could not enjoy; get into, have fun with, or start to like. Even if it's just an appreciation for mechanics that just need a little adjustment, some fine-tuning. Each game is a masterpiece that deserves all the praise that always goes to the most celebrated games for the system.

I task you with this; bring me a game for the Nintendo NES or Super NES that I personally would not enjoy. I want you to recommend me something that will be entirely unenjoyable; a total piece of garbage with no redeeming quality.

If you can suggest something to me that I will absolutely despise, loathe in it's entirety; then you win the game, and get to have one of the presents from under the RGT christmas tree.

If you present me with a game I do find redeeming qualities in, no matter how bad you think it is, if I like it..
Well, then you can try again if you want. As many times as you want, until you die.

I use that and it was surprisingly accurate; the kind of thing that's so foreboding, it practically makes the hair on your neck stand up. I enjoyed another session some months later, and that too, told of ill-comings.

It's weird for sure, and it's bad.. I feel like it could actually be made into a decent game, too.

It's just as you say.
Not only are the controls bad and clunky, but the gameplay itself; it's hella choppy, even for the NES which is known for having some games lag, usually only during a scene or two but yeesh.
I've gotta give you this one. Even though I could see it possibly being reworked into something playable, I don't see myself wanting to sit in a room and play a full game of this, even with another player. No, perhaps especially.

Taboo was cool. I saw a copy in the wild as a kid. I tried to order a copy a couple years ago, I told an online forum about it once I ordered it and someone randomly said "Well enjoy your house burning down!" and then I was randomly sent Willow instead of fucking Taboo. With all that said, I haven't tried to buy it again.

Okay, I'm not gonna lie to you here;
I am having a blast with this. The only thing keeping me from playing this further is the big black spot on my phone screen keeping me from being able to see what's coming up.
If not for that, I could definitely see myself playing the hell out of this.

Alright, I had some level of concern for the quality at first
but after the initial 1v1 Fighting Game experience of getting your ass kicked before figuring out the game a little, I started to really get into it. It's really exciting when you hear Kenshiro kiai, and the whole thing that comes with learning a fighting game; "How did I do that?"

I was leaning more toward the oldies, like NES/SNES specifically. I personally think they started to flop around the time of the Gamecube release.

That's another one I never used to like as a kid, but now that I'm older I've been kinda getting into it; watching other people play who aren't as bad as me is more fun.
