I've been meaning to make this thread for a while now. Tales is an RPG that just bled anime and good storytelling. I remember way back I had a choice: either get Star Ocean or Tales of. I picked Tales. Granted, I've beaten most of them, but still have a few to play: Xillia, Zestiria, Graces, Innocence, Tempest and the upcoming release of Phantasia X.

I'm still going to play Star Ocean though, but this ain't about that.

My favorite Tales game is Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. I really like Emil as a main character, the guy is badass af. He switches from calm, shy emo boy to fuck outta my face homie in 2 seconds, I love that bipolar mf.

I've beaten a bunch of Tales games. This year I've finished Berseria, Arise and Hearts R, loved them all. Can't wait to start Zestiria next followed by Graces and Innocence.

Do you like the Tales games? What are your favorites? Hoping to see some Vesperia love in here.

I have only played a few of them but Tales of Destiny is my favorite so far. I have played Destiny Eternia Symphonia Legendia and Zestiria, Eternia and Zestiria I didn't like or finish the rest were all pretty good though.

Zestiria & Berseria are kind of tied for first place for me. I love them both a lot, and replayed them both over the last year or so. I haven't really played a bad one yet, but I also haven't played them all of them. I've played pretty much all the ones from the PS3 generation-onwards.

I prefer Tales, but I also like Star Ocean quite a bit, even the not too well received more recent entries.

Tales Of can be genuinely enjoyable or some of the most abhorrent pieces of @#% I've ever played.

I enjoyed Versperia and Berseria, one because of the novelty and the other because it was ridiculously edgy. I've tried many but I just can't force myself into all the cheesy, generic exposition and some very, very questionable boss fights.

Edit- Oh! Forgot to mention. The animes are great. Like, all of them. The only one that's kinda lame is the Eternia anime, but it adds more to the story of the game.
