Hi, how are you? I was wondering if there's a possible setting for playing Silent Hill Origins on PSP, since it starts fine, but then the sound cuts out and the cinematics speed up.

I'm trying out some games on a cell phone with 4GB of memory and a Mediatek Helio G85 processor.

It shouldn't be a problem to play it with your device. I have an even weaker device than yours and it works well.

Seriously!? I downloaded the game, but accidentally deleted it. Plus, the other person gave me too many settings. I have Tekken 6, for example, and it works great on PPSSPP.

I have other games like Alien vs Predator Requiem, Power Stone collection and Manhunt 2 for example (which is almost a PS 2 game) and they work perfectly. I don't understand why this one doesn't.

This may also be due to the fact that the developer of the PPSSPP the game has not yet been made it compatible, something like that happens often.

SH Origins is laggy in any devices. I had freezes, and sound also was like errrwzhwzhwzhscrrr and hiccups sometimes It's because of game, not your phone or PPSSPP.
Oh, and did you try to change font like this?:

Oh, and you can try SH Origins for PS2. That port is much better, I prefer it than original PSP version. Especially since you can install a proper working emulator:

Because the PSP version came out before the PS2 version. The first pancake is always a flop. The developers polished the PS2 version, fixed everything they could, and released a delicious candy. Got it?

I have no idea if with 4 GB and a MediaTek I could emulate NetherSx2, and it's not on the Android Playstore.

I had it on PS2 when it came out, but now I'd like to maybe play it again, and it also plays in full screen. But you can't even play it with double the power of the device...

The PSP version looks foggy. On Playstation 2 I remember the town of Silent Hill looking too dark.

I don't know if they've fixed it or not, last time I played there was a graphics bug. It happens when you turn on the flashlight, and that means my enemies weren't just the monsters but the flashlight itself

AFAIK the reason that Origins is difficult to emulate properly is due to the fog effects.

Someone already kind of mentioned this but the PS2 version looked way better graphically, but had a strange darkness applied to the entire town instead of the regular pale fog you get in the PSP version of the game.

Its for that exact reason that this is one of my physical pick-ups for the PSP. You might want to tweak some of the special settings that turn off special visual effects? Been a while since I've used PPSSPP so I can't remember what the specific settings are but I beileve you can straight up turn off the fog effect.

Honestly, if you can get one cheap I'd just recommend picking up a PSP. Even if it's only something you want temporarily, you can pick up one on ebay second hand, install a bunch of games on it, then sell it on to someone else once you're bored.

At least in my part of the world you can pick one up for like £30-40 if you don't mind a broken UMD drive, and since you'd be likely to use The Repo anyway, that shouldn't really matter to you.
