yep, I recall my favorite unit even just grunt unit but with leveling up, I could take on warship by vulcan and one hit kill the WS. oh the feeling is awesome : ))I confirm, I got to disc 2 with pretty mediocre units and abusing super critical states and infinite turns (basically a unit can normally attack 3 times in current games,But in this one, the previous one and Spirits you have infinite turns if you accumulate energy, there is also some trial and error phase, the best way to enjoy these games with a guide in GameFAQs i always use it)
This rip is a Redump, basically the original game without any issues.my personal favorite G gen, it just has a lot of original pilots and a crap load of units, both if which haven't come back in quite a while. is this a new clean rip? or is it that old one where a lot of the pre-rendered cut scenes have weird graphical issues? that crap annoyed me so much that i bought my own copy and made my own rips. i also uploaded a compilation of all those scenes on my youtube, mostly because no one did a full compilation that wasn't in shiteo quality to my knowledge.
yeah, for my money spirits is probably the hardest SD i've played, you just spend so much time fighting your way out of unit poverty. F isn't that bad once you get going and level up your pilots, people also need to make sure to abuse their battleships, since they really do work in this game. there are some stages with some nonsense you have to do, especially in zeta (jaburo having to pick up kai and reccoa, and killamanjaro is just so tight on the turn requirement) the fact that a lot of the major battles are like, the full battle is pretty neat, but damn are they long (a baoa qu and grypse 2 are such a massive slugfest) game is neat, more people need to check it out. as i understand it g gen portable or whatever is kinda like, a weird port of this one, but it has some odd mechanics i couldn't figure out through the language barrier. less accessible for sure.I confirm, I got to disc 2 with pretty mediocre units and abusing super critical states and infinite turns (basically a unit can normally attack 3 times in current games,But in this one, the previous one and Spirits you have infinite turns if you accumulate energy, there is also some trial and error phase, the best way to enjoy these games with a guide in GameFAQs i always use it)

Gameplay is kind cool and has permadeath
It’s like 90% Japanese text. I just poked around and you remember what does what after awhile. Are the majority of the prompts and menu's in English? Is it just the story/cutscenes in Japanese?

I am not the biggest gundam or SRW fan; but it is always awesome to see another PSX tactical/strategy rpg float onto the site. Thank you!
He means the game still doesn't have a translation. (Which isn't really needed, to be honest. Since you can just watch/read their respective material and the menus aren't that hard to navigate.)Wait a minute! I don't quite understand your comment. Is there a fan translation of this game?

I bought this game 20 years ago for $80. It’s great and super long, covering literally all Gundam media up to 2000. I played through the whole thing knowing no Japanese either, so don’t let the language barrier deter you if you like Gundam and turn based tactics games.
