Project showcase thread

A great thread! Well I trying to make games a lot of times. My first try was a ballon shot games with skretch.
About game idea i have a lot of them. Here is one of them:
Busy postman:
postman have to find all of laters and give them to their owners.
His car is jammed and he cant use it so he use his red bicycle.
he should search map for laters. Game has a lot of side quest with latters he find from past which their owner never get them! The map is a whole city and graphic is look like nokia car game "beach race".

I started writing the second part of my tutorial a few minutes ago! I'm gonna show classes, tiles and platforming mechanics in this one.

Well uhh, I'm working on several projects simultaneously, which I'm not very proud of.
I'm working on a fangame, I'm making 3D models (mostly for personal use), I'm working at Satellaview+ as a schedule maker, and when one of my friends feels like it I work on GameBoy games with them (haven't done that in a while but I do wish to work on such a game with someone again).
I've written about all of this on my website which I try to update every week: https://advil-lavs.neocities.org/

Working on a fighting game fanpage, still a lot I gotta fill but I think it's neat so far. I've only finished the fighting 101 and mains page. Probably going to work on the notation and guide pages today.
I really love the style you give to each of the pages - using the SFII character select screen to showcase your mains is in particular a super cool touch!

Thanks man, I gotta update that page in particular because I switched to Axl and May(maybe), I don't play Roa or Kouma anymore either. I tried to add the midi for the theme but couldn't figure it out.

It is really great! I'm not a fan of fighting gener for some reason(*mortal kombat!*) but it is really great to me. I never made anything like this. I think it can become so great!
(*100 guests in the froum game counting!*) something is happening.

I was working on a Super Mario Bros. clone in Godot but it's current development has been halted due to my incompetence as a programmers so it's on the back burner for now. (I'll probably return to it and finish it when I'm confident enough)

To brush up my lacking game making skills I'm remaking an old game I made in Clickteam Fusion inside Godot. It's a "ball collecting" simple game where you play as an old inside joke character of mine dubbed "Rick The Dick"

The development is a bit slow as I'm in no hurry and I'm also trying to plan and understand everything that I do so it's not a complete clusterfuck of things I don't understand like all my other unfinished and unreleased Godot Projects.

I guess you can call me 007
0 skill
0 released games
7 unfinished games

Here's a rough sketch I just made, I'm not even gonna bother to flip it to see the mistakes. Say hi to legally distinct Moxie and the enemy birb.

Here's what I imagine for it to be like:
  • Play like Super Mario 63 (a fan game that's a 2D take on Mario 64)
  • Have vector-based graphics, as opposed to pixel art
  • Have a level editor where you edit end points of the geometry path, instead of being tile-based
  • The user just edits the simple geometry, the grass on top and other terrain visuals should be
  • procedurally generated
  • Be open source

Hi legally distinct Moxie and enemy birb ::chocobo-wave
Those seem like really good ideas, finally someone sees the potential of vector-based graphics.
P.S: cute drawings

This is an amazing subforum and a wonderful threat. Let me just give a little more of life to it.

Yes, more of it is really rough, but Im just creating code overall for these fan games. I also never studied "officially" any language, I just learned through the years in my spare time. What I mean with this I mean anyone can do a game. (I even finished and published one mobile game, but I think it is also lost media lol, im not paying 75 bucks)

Recently I finished a build of a fan made third person fan-game based on the Girls Frontline universe:

What im currently working on is a mario party like fan-game with characters of Hololive. This one is specially rough, but Im still working on it. I aim to just finish a simple build with 3-4 really simple minigames and with like 5 turns.

Im also trying to build a simple doom-like fps on the dreamcast with Raylib, but this is really on the basic stuff, my hands have been full atm.

So yeah, if I could make this anyone can. I recommend Unity rather than other alternatives: there is a lot of documentation and help, and C# is a well known and simple language as well.
