3DS Planned maintenance for Nintendo 3DS

And yesterday I was fiddling with my modded New Nintendo 3DS. Suspicious...

What do you think? I read that it might be because of Pokémon Home, but who knows?

A lot of complications with how the 3ds is handled does seem to almost always tie back to Pokémon home, an issue that could be so easily amended if TPC wasn’t so stingy about having support for 6th gen and 7th gen mons that are harder to port. It’s so silly how coy they ultimately are about wanting you to make Pokémon to be your entire life whilst also making it difficult to maintain it as such, what with their constant cannibalization of their old hardware. It’s white exhausting trying to keep track of all the different trades you could make in Pokémon home. So much time would be saved if a few games were allowed to be re-released, rather than being stuck in 3ds purgatory.

On a personal note, I don't particularly care about what they do with the 3DS. As I mentioned, my console is already modded and I have no need to update to current firmware version.

With the warpath the big N has been on lately with the Switch 2 and such. This update might be to brick modded 3DSs. I honestly would not put it past them to slip that into the TOS of a new update.
Because let's face it, how many of us read that? Hardly if any, I would wager.

This, especially since they already pulled out the support, Ninty got no reason to update the 3DS.
Whatever that update is for, it can't be good.

So what did the update actually do? I was kind of wondering if they would do something like release badge arcade badges or something like that. (I know they wouldn't)

Post 3DS Nintendo has really disappointed me with its lack of customization. The switch and switch 2 are so sterile and lacking in charm. Why can't I make my switch make dreamcast disc drive noises when I turn it on?

Last one was this year. Something about renewing blu-ray encryption keys which is more or less a drm system for blu-ray playback afaik. Good guy sony is just making sure we get to watch them movies on our playstations. I'm sure there's nothing more to it

So yeah, the whole "let it die" is pretty much relative to people.

Even the DSi XL came not long before the 3DS and the GameBoy Micro was out a bit after the DS.

ps3 get's updates once a year i think in march and i have a feeling they may and i mean MAY shut down the PSN store for PS3 since PS4 is going be long and gone.
