I just play the GC version on Dolphin, it's a great way to unwind.

I missed out on DC v.2 (didn't have the money at the time n had too many hacked weapons/items lol) so Blue Burst on PC was a nice way to catch up

also, like bjork above, the GC I & II n the broken-but-still-neat v.III Card Revolution on Dolphin are good refreshers

Also thanks to the Steam overlay, if you have a Dreamcast to USB adapter you can effortlessly use a DC Controller & Keyboard just as Yuji Naka intended. Or any controller

i've been thinking of playing phantasy star universe again after 20 years. never knew it had sequel on the ps2. also got me considering ephinea and clemintine, as i've haven't played much of PSO and never got the chance to play PSU online back then. i've always liked the aesthetic these games had going on.

I recommend checking out Phantasy Star Universe again. It does feature a full single-player story mode so you can enjoy without trying out Clementine, but be aware the voice acting is probably worse than you remembered it being. I'm one of those people who loves bad voice acting though.

The rest of it is pretty fine and I've especially always had a huge soft spot for it's soundtrack and aesthetics.

ALSO JUST WANTED TO MAKE A SHOUT OUT TO EPHINEA AS WELL they did such a great job with the upkeep and even updating it for more modern sensibilities. They've even added right analog stick camera control! Highly highly recommend. Just remember that the game runs on some old-school RPG logic and you can miss some attacks, but once you level and get better gear it becomes another game you can really lose yourself in.

oh already played the first chapter. the voice acting is definitely not great. i don't know if i want to play an undub, however. i feel i should have a similar experience like i did back then.

Played it for a bit on the fan server few years back, was a real fun time. But didn't have anyone to play with so didn't get all to far.
Might hop back on at some point cuz its been on my mind as of late.

I also need to try going on Ultima PSOBB again but I'm not a big fan of every changes. For some reasons they have made Ultimate mode harder.

Without being a purist I prefer Ephinea's "vanilla-ness".

You can also play online very easily with flycast with PSO ver 2, that can be extended to handhelds/phones, without being limited to only PCs/Winlator

i still play from time to time PSO on the gamecube, it have 2 episode and offline / split screen gameplay.
