I started working on this after realizing Parodius Portable uses a similar sound system like in the Persona 1/2 PSP games.

Parodius Portable is (to my thought) the definitive way to play that series of games, with the biggest issue being that 6 tracks were replaced for this version for either copyright issues or for zero actual reason (Stage 1 of Sexy Parodius)

This patch ammends that by replacing the 6 tracks exclusive to this version with their Arcade/Console counterparts, borrowed directly from the official albums
One thing to note is that three tracks had to be downsampled to fit into the game making some track sound in lower quality than the other tracks, that's the best I could do without resorting to modify the EBOOT

The portable tracks can still be heard on the music menu (Since they are handled differently from the tracks, also that modifying the menu might be a little complex)

Here's the list of songs that got restored:
Parodius da!
- "Hungarian Dance No. 5" to "Ah! Traveling Japan" (Stage 4)
Gokujou Parodius
- "Turkey in the Straw" to "In the Crane Game" (Stage 1) (Downsampled to 48kb)
- "The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers" to "Cooking Mambo" (Stage 3 Boss) (Downsampled to 48kb)
Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius

- "Brilliant2U" from DanceDanceRevolution2ndMix to "I Remember That! (Disco Mix)" (Stage 1) (Downsampled to 48kb)
Sexy Parodius

- "Pastoral March (Portable version)" to "Pastoral March (Arcade/Console version)" (Stage 1) (Downsampled to 66kb)
- "Korobushka" to "Lovely Otohime" (Stage 3A)

Download the patch here:

Patch it to the following iso:
Parodius Portable (Japan).iso
File/ROM SHA-1: 06AD24488C1F18C5CBA29B9004101CC6830358D7
File/ROM CRC32: 9C536BC0

(If there's an issue regarding a bad loop or a game crashing bug, let me know. I barely tested Sexy Parodius since that game is sadistically hard and doesn't seem to have a stage select or debug code)

hold on... was there a song missing still?

That’s the Way (I Like It)
Song by KC and The Sunshine Band

i know it's one of the games first stage where you fight a panda in a tutu has a boss but the music i'm talking about is the stage music. if i'm wrong let me know.

It is the song of the first stage, the full name of the song in the album is "I Remember That! (Disco Mix) ~ from "That's the Way" (KC and The Sunshine Band)"

That song is already restored

I just updated the patch to restore the track from the warehouse stage from Sexy Parodius, two patch were made for people who prefer the original track or the track that appears on the asian cabinets/PSP

Edit: Do not use the Arcade/Consoles patch, I just found out it is actually broken
