Oh my God just end already... Huh? Oh hi, didn't see you there, oh me? I was just playing this game, I've been playing it for... 50 hours already.
Yeah let's face it, some games really push that game time for no reason, how many times have you played a game and the tought of "I hope this is the last boss" appears in your mind? Sadly for me, more times that I can count. So, do you have a game that thinks went far and beyound it's game time?

i think ff13 was the only game to do that, for the final boss. that game was boring and it kept dragging on during the end. pikmin 2 randomizer and pikmin251 is a different story. fun and challenging to play but the submerged castle was terrifying in both of those. i kept hoping for the final floor but it seemed like it would never come due to resetting the game over and over again due to the random floor layouts.

Hmm, I don't think pacing has anything to do with the game's length but to answer your questions many games nowadays push that feeling "god I hope this is it" situation. Especially open world ones
Right, I think it's a mixture of both for me, so if I get either of the two then we're golden. I was thinkin about Elden Ring when I made this post, I remember getting to the Ice Giant Mountain and I tought to myself "Holy shit, I have ANOTHER area to go through?"

Oh yeah, I dropped Elden Ring because of that. Like, it's great it has a lot of content but I had enough at one point.

pacing mainly helps with the flow of a story, but how you navigate the game helps speed up or slow down the pacing too. and that can really affect the game's story and narrative.

ff13 is boring and slow, and by the end; i just wanted it over and having a repeat boss and 2 more after that didn't help. they weren't interesting either, or even cool looking.

botw can become an accidental comedy when you look at how long you have been playing ad checking your route on the map. i spent 90+ hours before beating the game for the first time and i ran all over the map. zelda is supposed to be watching you, and she must have been irritated watching me collect spicy peppers and gourmet meat and firewood for my house.

"Link please hurry!"
...and then you spend 80 hours finding Korok seeds.

oh, yeah! i was in the middle of that too. got about 240 of them. and all of the shrines, and most of the clothing [most of which i've gotten dye black] got the rare horses, did most of the side quests. zelda should have walked over and used 'double slap" fifteen times on link when i was done beating ganon.

I'm getting tired (not bored) because of the pacing thing and the amout of content/talking in Persona 5.
I've almost 70 hours and i'm feeling the infinite loop...

i'm over a 1,000 hours in disgaea 6, but i'm almost done with everything in the game except item collecting. but yeah, some games do have a little bit too much stuff in them; but sometimes you are meant to do multiple playthroughs or play the game in short bursts to get the intended full enjoyment of a game.

I was thinking about it when I made this thread. Where we supposed to play these games as fast as we did? I look at Elden Ring and think that it should have taken a year to finish, not a month!

As someone who decently liked 5, this is true. I don’t think 5 has the slightest semblance of self awareness or care.

Psh, ironically Royal is the revised version with better content. If you're suffering now, then you would lose your mind playing the og.

One of the problems that i have now is that i'm getting tired especially of being kind of force on going out with someone all the fucking time.

Social links dry my patience and my sense of loneliness
Now i'm trying to ignore everybody xD

Despite all of this i like the game, but i prefer ps3 or ps2.

probably not, but you never know who's going to play the game or for what reason. i beat the story for disgaea 6 months ago, i just mainly want the trillions of stat points for my characters and when i get all of the items and maxed out characters that i want to, i'll probably never play it again. maybe in ten years.

i've also 100% mario 64 and mario 64 ds. i'll still play them again; i've been getting every star that i can before each bowser nowadays. doesn't take long to do.

everyone plays at their own pace. i beat pikmin 4 in just a few days and tears of the kingdom in a week after release. the game's implied pacing is usually what makes you play through the story faster or slow.

Dear critics

SHORT =/= BAD

Dear Devs

Stop making me clear bandit camps in between more unique missions, it makes me hate the game, idc that now its 3 hour longer

Stop making missions like 'tame 30 horses' that was so boring it made me not finish red dead redemption

Yeah p5 does not respect your time. And I mean that in an actual negative sense. The game is more interested in itself than in you.

yeah, sometimes a short game is better. one of my favorites is pikmin 1. max 7 and a half hours to beat. i can't count how many times that i've played through it and i still find something new every once in a while.

I'll be frank with you guys, If when playing a game you start looking foward to it ending, you probably don't like that game
