When People talk about the OG Xbox they normally talk about games like Halo maybe Forza Motorsport but not much else, what exclusive Xbox games do you think it's worth play or at least it's a interesting game that you can only play on the OG Xbox ?

For me Shin megami tensei 9 Seems to be a very interesting but sadly it hasn't being translated to English yet

Is a FPS where the combat centers around CQC and making combos like a fighting game and you have to stop some super soldiers because they want to take over the world. Also the OG xbox has the better versions of the Tony Hawk Underground games and the Splinter Cell games and of course it has my favorite villain simulator: Fable the lost chapters (some things in that version are better than in the Anniversary remaster)

Oh wow. I'm by no means a huge fan of SMT, but I've never heard of that game before. I watched a bit of a YouTube video about it and yeah, that's an SMT game alright. x) Doesn't seem like the best the series has to offer, but I'd still love a fan translated version. In the interests of preservation, the more people who are able to play something the better.

Anyway, I thought about this for awhile and poked around a bit.

I haven't heard many people talking about this game over the years, but I own it and it's rather good. It's backwards compatible on the newer Xbox consoles and you can even get it digitally in the Microsoft store for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It is also playable on xemu. If you like arcadey flight games with lotsa shooting, it's a great choice.

You can blame my boyfriend for this one, he'll bring it up any time racing games are mentioned. x) For good reason though, it's a really fun game. Sadly the series is dead and DICE has been long since banished to the Battlefield mines by EA. It is also not backwards compatible and can't be purchased digitally, but it can be found for cheap physically and is playable on xemu.

That's all I really know about. I did some looking into Japanese only releases and none of them particularly thrilled me. I wouldn't doubt more hidden gems exist, but I do not know of them.

This game is much better than people give it credit for, I've never understood why it's considered one of Rare's worst games, it's definitely not one of the best games they've made but it's not bad either.

It's a surprisingly competent 3D beat 'em up.

I think a lot of people don't like this game because of the wierd controls scheme where you attack with the right analogue.

Steel Battalion!
OK I never played it but that full mech controller is proper mad, and stupid expensive.
There is a keyboard and mouse mod for the game though, maybe it can be made for XBOX emulators and we can all finally see what the fuss was all about.

It's hard to really know what counts in these kinds of discussions anymore since the question has been asked and answered so many times every response feels cliche to give. With the qualifier that both no game and almost every game end up counting by this rhetoric, I'll give the answer I always gave throughout my teens with the question came up.

Microsoft Game Studios Japan's second release, it was an unbelievable showcase for the system. Drop-dead gorgeous, gloriously weird soundtrack and mysterious narrative had me hooked when I first played it. The combat system is an action-platforming-card-fighting-game hybrid that I've still yet to see recreated or even loosely-iterated upon elsewhere in the industry. I'd like to do a full write-up on it someday because it is just that special of a game. It's team was full of a ton of new industry talent, but was helmed by veteran Yukio Futatsugi who cut his teeth working with Sega helming franchises like Panzer Dragoon.

The saddest part? Microsoft didn't even believe in the game enough to release it in the west themselves, with Majesco picking up publishing rights. Their prior game - Magatama - also deserves mention on a list like this, though it's status as a Japanese exclusive with no translation will bar many from giving it a shot. Microsoft's Japan studio would make 3 games in total, each being entirely unique from the last and dripping in inspiration and quality. Microsoft themselves didn't seem to care though and despite the 360 having a surprisingly decent launch in the region and a studio they could depend on to make great software, they shuttered them after Every Party on 360.
