You can still play the original in Leifthrasir by switching to classic mode in main menu.PS2 original had a stamina system and was mostly focused on just using basic attacks and not running out of stamina since it dazes you if you run out and makes you very vulnerable to attacks while you wait for the stamina meter to fill. The reworked system has a lot of special attacks.

the playstyle is diferent in this and ps3 version, they remake it like murasama the demon blade, to be more faster and action focused, ps2 dont have nothing to do compared to leifhrasirI tried to like the PS2 game. But I just couldn't get into it. It wasn't fun for me at all.
Technically it's Odin Sphere: Lover of lifeAbout the title, there was a discussion about it on the other thread on the Disqus platform when you posted the US version but the reason it's Leifthrasir is that the character "Þ" is used which is "Thorn" i.e. the strong TH sound in words like Thunder, Thorn, Thing, etc. that is still used in modern English and many other Germanic languages although not always notated whereas the weak th sound like in words such as This, There, That etc. is the character Eth "ð" also not used in written modern English but the sound is still there as well. Some dictionaries will still note it when you look up words to help you figure out how to pronounce them. Since the game is loosely based on old Germanic/Nordic religion and folklore that's why the developers did that.
Also btw, about the game. Pretty good. Much better than original PS2 release of Odin Sphere with the reworked gameplay, although the original gameplay is an option as well if you're a bit of a masochist. Not as brutal of load times either, which was a huge issue on the original game.

I have 100%ed it on PS2the original ps2 gameplay is an option as well if you're a bit of a masochist.
Not that I had other options, since I bought it day-one for ps2: I remember I used a reference picture for all the events, because I wanted to complete every bit of it.It's an extremely unique, intense, and explosive game that transcends the common...
