I use SwanStation on RetroArch and recently downloaded Destruction Derby 2, which contains multiple .bin files. As always with multi-track games, it runs without music.

I checked the .cue file and noticed something odd—all tracks have the same timestamp (2:00).

What I’ve Tried So Far:

Generated a new .cue using DuckStation’s CUE Maker → Still has the same incorrect timings, no music.
Merged all .bin files using UltraISO → The game doesn’t even start.
Tried the same with ImgBurn → It says the .bin files are the wrong format or corrupted.

I’m completely stuck—any help would be greatly appreciated!

Solution
That is because each .bin is a audio track, that is used in the game for its music. So the .cue file is important, and it needs to contain the .bin for all the other .bin files.

To make this easier to handle, I recommend converting it to chd, most modern ps1 emulators support that.

Requirement for this is a proper .cue file

Solution
No need to do anything to it really.
It's ready to play as is with music.

1) Extract to a folder, have all bin and the cue in same folder.
2) Drag .cue to retroarch choose swanstation.
3) Play.

The .cue is fine, no need to touch it.
Your problem is most likely that you are not using the .cue to play at all but the (Track 01).bin instead

EDIT: I just tried it and that's the behavior you get if you run the data track 1 instead of the .cue

First of all thank you all for the help

@Spike I didn't know I could do that, and yes it works. But I prefer to keep my games compressed.

Indeed, I tried CHDman and it's absolutely perfect. Not only it solves my issue, but it also provides a compression ratio way better than 7zip. And it extracts super fast!
Big thanks to @bloodywing for linking to that post! ?
