A fantastic adventure and one of my favourite games. My own take on it (no spoilers): In a tirannic and distopic world, Twinsen is imprisoned for acting suspicious. They might have been under some kind of contract obligation with their publishers. Maybe they were allowed more time for the European release.

A special one for what matters! How probable is it for a French team to develop and release a version not deemed fully complete 1 year earlier in Japan than their own region one?

I never knew there was Japanese version.

It's also a very special one (for the "connoisseurs" of this game), highly suggested to try if you played the european version as it looks in-between a development build and a beta on some fronts!
