Is this 3DS worth it?

So I came across a middle eastern store that works like ebay but with games and all that stuff

So I found this 3DS which is black, Japanese version and likely new with no scratches or anything

It costs 750 SAR with 20 SAR shipment it's 770 SAR in total

Is it worth it??

The 3DS is a great system and is also compatible with DS games.

Thing is, since its japanese, it will only play japanese games so if you want to buy it without knowing japanese, I would advise you to search a way to jailbreak it and the risks before buying it.

Also, you should be carefull when handling the 3DS. Mine (3DS XL) broke because the hinge demaged the ribbon cable connecting the lower and upper halfs causing it to not turn on (it does powers up but won't boot). I could repair it by buying a new ribbon cable but it's a delicate process and since its an "old" console, I couldn't find someone to repair it.

I mean my partner says that i can jailbreak it without a problem. I always look if there's a good chance to do it without any complications. Also I found some protection for the 3ds in other stores so I guess it's not really a problem to me. But part of me wants wii because I found it's accasories for less than 80 or even 20 SAR and it's like part of my wishlist

don't worry about the console being JPN, you can absolutely mod it no problem to play any region game. personally it's a bit expensive but I'm not sure what the market is like where you are. if you really want one you should get it its a great console. wiis are also great and usually cheaper and easy to mod as well

I never brought from that site before but from the look of it it's like ebay type but the 3ds I saw is in the same area as I'm in. The wii in ebay and that store is expensive so I'll pick 3ds. Thank you!!

i'm huge into just emulating 3DS on PC (since you can upscale, mod, and do all sorts of emulation stuff)
there's about one game i can say you WANT TO HAVE ON REAL 3DS
and that is Kid icarus Uprising.
it requires a LOT OF TOUCHSCREEN USE. it's how you aim and turn camera in general, and you will do so a LOT, and basically why it's unplayable on anything BUT a touchscreen
it's also (in my opinion) the BEST 3DS GAME PERIOD, best LOOKING, best GAMEPLAY, and just incredibly fun. if you have a 3DS you NEED THAT GAME, or you're super missing out on it's best exclusive game.
basically any game that used the touchscreen a lot is probably better on real hardware
Puzzle and dragons Z is very fun on real hardware (matching and sliding around blocks quickly with stylus)
World ends with you (technically not a 3DS game but DS, but still extensive touchscreen use)
and there's also the 3D stereoscopic effects, it's not something you can emulate easily, and some games have really nice 3D effects (kid icarus, again IMO the best 3DS game)

seriously you're gonna have so much fun i'm excited for you. i'm lucky, my childhood console still works and i use it almost every day.

also i second the kid icarus uprising recommendation, if you're gonna get a 3ds that game is MUST PLAY!!

Thanks for the advice and recommend! I emulated 3ds games on my tablet and pc (baby pals on pc and tomodachi on tablet) but they are sometimes hard to control and also it's fun to own a retro console lol! Also about kid icarus praising looks good. I'll get it once I get my hands on that 3ds!!
