I want to make the same kind of site as this, except instead of leaning heavily toward being woke, we would promote freedom of speech above most else. That means even hate speech would be included, and people could freely say whatever ignorant-ass homophobic racist bullshit they wanted.
Way I see it, every mature person knows better by now; we've all experienced interactions with every demographic under the sun, and we're not blind to the fact that we all share similar traits; we all have a heart, and a mind of our own, it's every unique individual's choice how to use them.
That said, we as a society ought to have grown past these small-minded, weak-hearted viewpoints that were outdated centuries before they were mainstream. I feel that using certain slur words or publicly stating your disdain for a particular behavior ought to not be grounds for an immediate hanging and public execution, the way people have been; lynch mobs going after someone who may have meant well-enough, but far too ignorant to approach the situation with woke social justice warriors out to ruin the life of anyone they think is in disagreement with them.
Therefore, I would like a community where we can feel safe enough to be unsafe; let us state our ignorant opinions in peace without fear of being shut down immediately for having an opinion; when you enforce open-mindedness as a rule, it stops people from seeing it as being open-minded, and instead of looking for ways to improve ourselves in our character, we instead have to tip-toe carefully around what we say, having to resort to behaving and talking a certain way to please our superiors and avoid being punished for slipping up or making a mistake.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
And hey, it's just an idea.
