This is incredibly impressive. I always thought the whole combination of the three systems had so much untapped potential. It could have definitely been up there in terms of what it could do when compared to something like the 3DO. It just wasn't ever a feasible market as so few people had all three at that point not to mention how many power outlets it required and just releasing and all in one system would have been pointless too as the Saturn was also released on the market at that time. Still would be interesting to see more games get enhanced 32X CD ports with enhancements.

Anyone got this working on Retropie or Batocera or anything? Tried it on my Anbernic 3G35XX SP using a fork of Batocera and I couldn't get it to work.

Looks and sounds really cool ! Does this work on Mister FPGA ?

Damned just saw an answer to my question :-(

I cannot get this to work in Retropie with the lr-picodrive emulator. The game starts and goes to the sound only screen player.
didn't work for me on nvidia shield. just goes to the sound player.

but it did work perfectly on pc retroarch.

remember to change the file name like the guy said.
and make sure picodrive is upto date dude.

Has anyone managed to burn the CD? Tried with 4 different burners, 10 medias and 2 different computers. I don't know if it's a cable problem (3 drives are USB), a media problem (3 different brands) or computers problems. Or maybe I'm Doomed.
Managed to run it. O M F G, this thing is pretty impressive! From the FMV at the start to the Doom 2 with the chainsaw! What I'm the hell is this! Is Doom 2 running impressively at a mega drive on steroids. Kudos to the group who did it, it's really a masterpiece!

cool project. Pointless but cool to know 32x and cd somehow work together. Not downloading it unless im really high and im already im still not playing it. Cool tho. Its like if i mix mcdonalds with whataburger, Totally pointless

sorry about what I said. I was stupid drunk. Im really sorry and obv I don't make any sense.

It works differently than described for Ares. The rom's name (the .32x file) must match the .cue file's name. And instead of loading the .32x file you have to run the .cue file. In short, download the 7z file, decompress it, then rename the "DCD32XF_V2.2.32x" file to "DCD32XF_V2.32x". And finally in Retroarch add the DCD32XF_V2.cue file to your 32x playlist. Set core association to picodrive and run it. The screen should remain black for a few seconds before the menu comes up, it is normal as it simulates disc loading times.

Additional note: this is the improved FM soundtrack version using the console's sound chip, so in the audio menu the alternative soundtracks won't be available. To get the IDKFA SPCM rearranged soundtrack you'll have to patch the rom yourself as explained on the hack's official page: https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/148783-doom-cd32x-fusion/
That was simple, thanks

This Doom Romhack unifies all the content of the game but on a single disc and at the same time cartridge like the Doom I, Doom II, Resurrection and TNT Mini and that is reflected in the scheme of the levels of the game and also that it is based on the resurrection version which is known for restoring all the content that was deleted in the base version and at the same time expands it, however not all Mega Drive/Genesis emulators support 32X support but for some reason they do support Mega CD so the only way to emulate it is in Picodrive because it supports Mega CD and 32X to take advantage of compatibility on both systems at once.

Can confirm this setup works in Retroarch with picodrive. The cue/bin files can also be converted to chd format for the game to be launched from. The unzipped and renamed 32X file must remain in the same folder with it to work.

Does this work in Retropie with the lr-picodrive emulator?

This is so cool. Ever since I learned Sega CD 32x was a thing even though it was only use for FMV games. I always thought of this alternate universe where instead of the Saturn Sega went with the 32x and being able to use CDs with the 32x really would allow more interesting games then being stuck with carts. They could has also designed the Neptune with a CD drive and made and all in one Mega Drive, Sega CD, and 32x and just made that their new console. Then people could of had the option of upgrading their Mega Drive or getting the all in one. I know hackers have dug into the 32x and found it more capable when released games would make you think and then you realize you could also have the storage of CDs instead of carts as well.

I'm unable to run it on Retroarch Picodrive. If you can help me figure it out, thanks.

"I'm not gonna play it. Maybe I will but probably not. Maybe though. This is cool but also this is not cool and I think it sucks"

Naw but this is a technical marvel, I can't believe someone actually sat down and figured out how to make this all work. If I still had my tower of power this would be my upcoming weekend.

Okay so this is the same v2.2.32 from a little while ago, but you went ahead and built the standard ISO already. I actually went through the trouble of building my own image back in August. I also did the IDKFA image as well. It was quite the process to gather everything and build the images. Having it already built here is a pretty big deal for most people.
Oh you are correct.

Having the prebuilt iso for this nice.

Im not joking when I say this is one of the best things to run on the 32x. Almost everything on that addon is a dumpster fire.
