Of course there are ugly cats, VERY ugly, but it depends on the like of the viewer. For me, best animals are birds, they are so cute I can't stand it, but I know there are some very ugly ones :(.

If I recall, feline is a classification exclusive to a great many of the smaller cat species and "big cats" fall under pantherine instead, although I can't access wikipedia or google to confirm. Cheetahs are felines though.
