I feel like I read Sega putting the nail in this one for good a while ago and the trend overall is kind of dead, but let's have some fun. You are now in charge of the features and games list for the upcoming Dreamcast Mini. Go.

Hard Mode: 10 game maximum to keep the licensing budget down.

The first thing I would say as soon as I'm in charge is: "Not without a Saturn mini first". And that'd be a really difficult one. Impossible even.

If they really want to go out with a bang they could release a super expensive Saturn mini with a FPGA and sell it as "the retro enthusiast's PREMIUM mini console" or something. Because for the cost it would take to sell a machine that could software-emulate the Saturn they might as well.

If they somehow survive that hail mary shot they could go for a Dreamcast mini.

Fuck I just dusted off my DC. Let me think.
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure 2
Toy Commander
Jet Set Radio
Seaman (Add the microphone!)
Shenmue 1
Shenmue 2

Can't think of anymore right now. But those are certified bangers.

Nice.
I do love the DC. This is from an older post here, ages ago.
All my DC games had cracked jewel cases, so I reprinted the covers and backs for DVD cases.
Mind you, most didn't have the covers anyway, as I bought 99% secondhand.
(I have about 30 more games I need to make cases for sometime. Also that is a OG from 1999 Dreamcast)

That looks amazing. I was a dumb kid and tossed all my dc cases in favor of a damn cd case back in the day. My collection is about 30 percent real dreamcast games and 70 percent burnt discs. Poor dreamcast and her awful pirate protection..can't help but love it though

Thanks and as stated, most of mine were in plain old CD cases anyway.
Most of them don't even have the manuals. No big deal, I'm not keeping them for value's sake.
I actually do boot up the old Dreamcast from time to time, though as age is catching up to it, you know the constant spinning disc problem.

I don't want to damage my games or wear out another laser... this Dreamcast is on its second.
So I emulate 99% of the time. But since the CRT my brother got me should be here sometime next week, I will boot up that bitch in full 35-inch CRT glory.

Yeah, we were all dumb kids and tossed boxes. The few Dreamcast games I got sealed, I broke the cases and lost the manuals anyway.

The jewel cases were crap plastic, like the Sega Saturn cases, and cracked if you looked at them wrong.

*Edit* All my games are Original Pressed disc's no burnt backups

Very nice, you really went into a lot of detail with the non-games stuff!

I do agree with the internet connectivity part. I think it'd be a quite unique selling point, and would allow people to get more out of the console with games like Phantasy Star Online or games that previously had timed downloadable content (like Sonic Adventure).

The only thing I'd add to this in particular would be wanting a VMU to go with the controller, even if it ended up being a separate purchase due to cost and you could save without it due to modern tech.

Thank you. That's why I added it, coming with a USB adapter for the original controllers, so you could use the old VMUs if you wanted.
