Are you able to save data on an FMCB Card? I've got a 64 mb FMCB card and I'm worried as once my 8 MB card is full I wont have any space for save data. So is it possible to save on an FMCB card - and if so what should I note?

Thanks!

Yes it is. I've done it and it was fine for years, although now I switched to two OEM 8MB cards (FMCB in the second port) and I just periodically back up my saves to a USB stick when slot 1's card gets full. If you don't have an easy way of getting FMCB back up and running I recommend not saving on it though or cloning it to another card if possible just in case.

So in a nutshell it can be done but it isn't recommended. Can I ask why it isn't recommended?

FMCB does things that the PS2 and its memory card were never supposed to do. You're risking data corruption, and sometimes managing the saves can be a real pain. I think the console may have a harder time figuring out how much space is left on a card that has filetypes it doesn't recognize. If your saves aren't important enough to you to buy a cheap mc to use only for saves, then it doesn't matter, go ahead and do it

EDIT: As I read that last bit, it sounds hostile. It was not intended to be
