It’s well known that SEGA’s partnership with TecToy was a genius move. To any and all Brazilian forum users, share your memories of the SEGA Master System/Mega Drive/ whatever other SEGA machine you owned!

I remember "borrowing" my friend's master system for like an year, it came with 70ish games and i finished Alex Kidd in Shinobi World so many times, Master of Darkness was also another favorite of mine, but of course Phantasy Star was a huge adventure for me as kid, especially because it was actually in portuguese back then, it truly was a reason for my love of RPGs today.

I was obsessed with Sonic as a kid and as i grew up with pc only i didn't understood much about consoles. One day i was in my cousin's house and he had a megadrive with a sonic logo on it, then i became obsessed with getting one. I didn't help the fact that he was a jerk and didn't want to tell me the name of the console, and instead would say things like "this is THE Sonic console, it's made to play Sonic" lmao.
I lost interest in acquiring one after i learned you could emulate a lot of stuff on pc, but it never got out from the back of my mind the idea of purchasing one now, i think it's way cheaper right?

sometimes i wonder if gringos made fantranslations of titles like the monica's games or, maybe... the 'show do milhão' of mega drive.

I really wanted one of those chico bento minigames?

I dunno, but i remember watching random Japanese people speedrunning them lmao. I actually saw too many Japanese people that did speedruns of crappy Brazilian games, even in "RTA In Japan"

My first video game was a Mega Drive III and it came with Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in the box.

I also bought the game Ecco the Dolphin Tides of Time. Difficult game but one of my favorite for the system.

I have few games (only 21) but everytime I take the system to play a little Sonic 2 and Ecco 2 are the ones I never skip. Few months after buying the MDIII I've bought a Saturn.
